It's times like this that I miss my mom

The friends that I get my honey from (the ones I helped with the bees) offered me all the apples I could use. They have an orchard with many types of apples, pears and grapes. I was so touched by the offer. We were going to go tomorrow to a local orchard to pick but that's not nearly as nice as free. Cathern gave me recipes for apple pie filling to can and pear butter and gave me tips on applesauce. I am just overcome with thankfulness.

All this made me miss my mom so much. She used to be so supportive of my silly ways. I knew I could call her all excited to tell her some cool-to-me thing and she would listen and be excited for me.
