Frances Pauline Cobb
1924-2008
June 10, 1924 - December 2, 2008 It is with deep sadness that we, the children of Frances Cobb, announce her passing on the morning of December 2nd, 2008 in the city of Torrance, California. Born on June 10th, 1924 in Hot Springs, Arkansas of Charlie T. and Tennie M. Parker, the family moved to the Southern California in 1935 and resided in Wilmington, Torrance and Harbor City until the present. Graduating from Banning High School in 1943 and married to William Emmett Cobb. A member of the VFW "Cootyettes" and Red Wings Square Dancers in her spare time, Frances worked as a school dietician in the Palos Verdes Estates School District and later for Sears, and May Company in customer services. Predeceased by her husband; and eldest son, William Charlie. She is survived by two children, Regina and Bruce; two daughters-in-law, Rebecca and Sue-yen; and two grandchildren, Janessa Catherine and William Casie Cobb; half-brother, Charles Jr. Parker; step-sister, Audrey Albergo; and step-mother, Edna-Mae Parker. A remembrance service is planned for 4PM Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center. For information contact Bruce Cobb at 310 325-0550.
